LEEP Orientation Events

Please come out to some social events during the LEEP Orientation sponsored by ALA and ACRL! All are welcome. Some details pending. Email Mara (-mdegnan2, at illinois.edu-) or Julie Yen (-jyen3, at illinois.edu-) with questions.

Sun. 7/13: Murphy's after class. We'll meet people in the East foyer to walk over to Murphy's and people can join us there too.

Tues. 7/15: Hancock at the Savoy 16, an 8pm-ish showing. The movie times for next week won't be available until this Thurs., so we'll post fliers with the final details. We'll also be meeting people in the East foyer. If anyone needs a ride, email Mara so she can figure out cars ahead of time. Ticket prices are $6.50 with student ID. She have 2 fantastic refillable popcorn buckets, so we're set for popcorn.

Sun. 7/20: Murphy's after class. Meet in East foyer.

Tues. 7/22: Dark Knight (the 2nd Batman movie) at the Savoy 16, an 8pm-ish showing. Again, we'll post flyers on Thurs. the 17th with final details. And if anyone needs a ride, email Mara.

Indianapolis Field Trip

Date: Friday, August 15th

Libraries: Indianapolis Public Library (newly remodeled Main Branch)
Indianapolis Zoo Library
Ruth Lily Medical Library (the Health Sciences Library at Indiana University)

Time: We plan to leave from GSLIS at about 7:45am and hope to be back in Champaign by 8:00 pm. It is 2 hours to Indianapolis but there is an extra hour with the change to Eastern Time.

Please email Emilyn (-elarsen2, at illinois.edu-) if you want to go and if you would be willing to drive. We are planning on carpooling. We need a count of people interested by Wednesday, July 9th.
