The GSLIS Alumni ChallengeAlumni of the LEEP Program vs. Alumni of the On-campus Program
What's the challenge? It's very simple. The competition is open to all GSLIS graduates from 1994 through 2007 who have never given a gift to GSLIS. Why is this important?Because every gift that comes from a first-time donor through the end of 2009 will be matched twice by a generous GSLIS alumna and her husband. The provost will then match that figure. What is it going to cost me?It's easy. Just select one week and make a commitment to give up one thing on Monday through Friday, then on Saturday make your gift! With matching, your contribution will be worth six times as much: a gift of $5 will become $30, a gift of $40 will become $240, a gift of $100 will become $600, and a gift of $1,000 will become $6,000! Is there any other reason for me to do this? Our reputation is based on our high standards of academic excellence and the connection our alumni have with GSLIS. Your gift today will help future students forge such strong connections because they have been supported by the scholarship you are helping to fund. The group that wins the June '08 Challenge will be determined based upon rate of participation. We will announce the winner on July 15, 2008.
You may also donate by sending in a check by mail or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), which can be done automatically on a monthly or quarterly schedule. The minimum pledge for EFT is $10 (monthly) or $25 (quarterly). All gifts for this challenge must be made by June 30, 2008.
